Chiller installation – the need for this service arises at various trade, pharmacological, chemical enterprises, for cooling air and liquids, for this purpose special refrigeration machines – chillers are installed on them. Shipping of chiller

Shipping chiller is made by the seller in packaged form. By this point, the unit has completely passed the preparatory work, filled with refrigerant, all tests have been carried out. Road transport is used for transportation over short distances. If necessary, long-distance delivery is involved by sea or rail transport. In this case, it is necessary to organize unloading and loading at the transshipment site, ensure the presence of the necessary lifting machines, timely submit the car to avoid downtime.

The logistic scheme must be accurately compiled and calculated. When ordering transport, it is necessary to take into account that the transportation of the chiller must be carried out in a position determined by the manufacturer. For fixation during transportation, fastening brackets on the body are used. If a frame is used for carriage, indicators shall be installed to indicate inclinations and impacts during movement and overload.

Chiller rigging is made using rigging points and brackets to fasten slings of the desired load capacity. Instructions for fastening and moving equipment are issued by the manufacturer. The unit during transportation and rigging cannot be tilted and shaken. Loading operations for chillers require special care and mathematical accuracy and consistency of all operations. Difficulties can cause lifting and moving equipment to the roof of a high-rise building. For operations with a ten-ton unit, you will need a crane with a carrying capacity of more than 100 tons. It may be necessary not only to raise the chiller to the desired height, but also to move and install it in the selected place, previously protecting the heat exchangers from deformation.

Packaging and transportation sleds shall not be removed until the chiller is installed on the base. During installation in the room, the movement of the unit is carried out using a forklift or lift. Before installation, it is required to conduct a control acceptance of delivered units, check the integrity of the body, the absence of fluid leaks.
 

Chiller connection

All work on connection and commissioning of the chiller should be carried out strictly in the manner specified in the manufacturer’s instructions. All parameters of the system must correspond to passport data.

When connecting the chiller, pipelines are wiring between parts of the system. Flexible hoses are used for hydraulic connections, copper tubes are used for refrigerant. Pipelines are installed shut-off valves, measuring devices. Air ducts are fastened and connected.

The control system is installed in an electric cabinet, the remote module is removed to a special room. The correctness of connecting the chiller phases and external devices is checked.

Adjustment and control of the refrigeration system is carried out by highly qualified specialists. First, the presence and correctness of the connection of all components are visually checked, pipelines and regulating devices are inspected. The chiller and all units are adjusted, the parameters are measured and adjusted, the temperature of heating and cooling of the air in the heat exchangers is checked. According to the results of the trial start-up of the system, a journal is filled in.
