The transportation and installation of a platen press is in demand among publishers and companies working with printing equipment, since a platen press is a device that allows die-cutting, creasing and perforation of printed products.
A platen press for cutting, as well as die-cutting and embossing, works with various materials: paper of different densities, cardboard, leather, fabric and other materials.
A platen press is used for:
– Cutting. This procedure allows paper and cardboard products to be given the required contour and shape. Cutting is used when creating various products: posters, small calendars, etc.;
– Die-cutting. This procedure makes it possible to cut a printed product into shapes. A high-performance platen press for die-cutting copes excellently with processing labels, calendars and other printed products;
– Foil stamping — a material with which any product can be originally decorated, given uniqueness and a presentable appearance.
Platen press rigging
The weight of a platen press can be 10 tonnes, and specialised rigging equipment must be used to transport it.
Most often, special fastening elements — eye bolts — are used for such transportation. They differ from a standard fastening bolt by having a ring instead of a head.
The ring makes it much easier to secure the equipment with textile slings rated for its weight.
The specialists of “Sintez TMK” have extensive experience in transporting and installing printing equipment, including platen presses.
