Installation of tanks Difficult work due to its size and purpose. Reservoirs are used for storage of oil and oil products, fuel, gas, oils and other technical liquids, water.

Types of reservoirs

Water tanks made of metal or plastic are intended for storage of:

Oil reservoirs according to their design, they are divided into ball, vertical and horizontal, at the location – into underground and ground. They can be single-walled and double-walled and are intended for oil storage.

Fuel tanks are made of high-quality materials: carbon steel, reinforced fiberglass, plastic, stainless steel. The set of such tanks includes pipes, level sensors, intake tubes with valves. If required, a flexoblock, control automation, neck and valve for the ventilation pipe are added.

Control over compliance with standards in the design and construction of oil tanks is within the competence of Rostechnadzor, which is guided by the STO-SA-03-002-2009 Standard “Rules for the design, manufacture and installation of vertical cylindrical steel tanks for oil and oil products”.

Installation of tanks at the place of their permanent location is made of their constituent metal structures, which are made in special plants: walls, bottoms, canonical roof shell for the tank, stairs, hatches and pipes, pontoons, fire safety designs. Then all the details are transported to the place of installation of tanks – to petrochemical enterprises, filling stations, etc.
 

Transport of tanks

Upon completion of the manufacture of metal structures for vertical tanks, the manufacturer compiles a list of drawings and accepts the structures (welded joints, quality documentation are checked), an acceptance certificate is drawn up and signed according to the standard presented in Regulation PB 03-605-03 “Rules for the device of vertical cylindrical steel tanks for oil and oil products”.

From the plant, ready-made tanks or individual structures are delivered to the place of deployment, so that the containers are installed there. Transportation of tanks is carried out by road, taking into account the current Russian legislation regulating the transportation of bulky cargo in order to ensure safe loading. This is due to the need to solve logistical problems. During transportation, the route is coordinated with traffic police authorities, balance holders of overpasses and bridges, as well as with owners of electric networks of urban transport.
 
Tank rigging It is directly related to the dimensions of the structures, since some features are necessarily taken into account when transporting them. Reservoirs for gas stations are small in size, so they are transported in finished form. To do this, use a special transport on which you can transport cylindrical containers, carefully fixing them on the platform. Vertical oil tanks, due to their gigantic size, are transported in the form of separate metal structures, and then mounted on site.

When transporting tanks, road trains or tractors are used. In order to exclude force majeure on the roads, the traffic police receive permits for travel on all roads, narrow streets, tunnels, under bridges, since the transportation of oversized tanks is associated with obstacles on the way due to the fact that there may be steep slopes, different quality of the road surface, lane width.
 

Installation of tanks

In the installation, sheet and roll assembly are used. Work is carried out according to the standards of the organization STO-SA 03-002-2009 “Rules for the design, manufacture and installation of vertical cylindrical tanks for oil and oil products”. Work is carried out using lifting cranes – automobile or stationary.

Before the installation of tanks, excavation works are carried out to prepare the pit (extraction and compaction of the soil) and the foundation for the reservoir is built.
 

Installation of industrial equipment

The initial data for the RRP for the installation of tanks are working documentation, information about machines, mechanisms and personnel, conditions of work, documentation related to environmental protection. According to the rules, the site around the tank is prepared before installation, because a place is required for storage of structural parts of the tank, temporary roads, communications, lighting of the site.

The built foundation should be inspected by the admission committee, then the breakdown of networks, waterproofing of the bottom is carried out. Consistently carried out loading and unloading works, installation of walls, bottoms, roof, mine ladder, hydraulic tests of the tank, anticorrosion protection, thermal insulation, connection of technological pipelines. In addition, in accordance with the project, the pit is filled and the tank is collapsed.
